Civil War
Last May 31, 2019 at 2:31 AM I was awakened with a vision. I was in a small group of people partying when suddenly there was a locomotion in the crowd followed by successive gunshots. People started moving out for a safer ground. And from there that I woke up.
Coincidentally, my daily devotion that day reads, “The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore be earnest and disciplined in your prayers” in 1 Peter 4:7/ New Living Translation (NLT).
End of the World, how soon would that be? What preparation do we need?
The word “soon” in NLT is translated “”is at hand” in KJV that refers to Greek word “eggizo” meaning “to bring near” or “to join one thing to another.” Strong defined “eggizo” as “ready.” It is like preparing a “survival kit bag” that is readied when calamity strikes without a warning.
The word “soon” speaks of “inevitable” time and event that no one could derail it. No one and nothing at all. And who can join things both together? And who can bring two worlds as one but only God through Christ as the “reconciler” of all things. 2 Corinthians 5:18 says:
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”
In other words, it is through Christ is where the beginning and end meets. Christ is our Great Reconciler.
The survivors
And who can escape from such inevitable disaster when the world ends? Who will be the survivors then?
1 Peter 4:7/ NLT says “The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers”.
It says only those people of God whose prayers are earnest and disciplined. Without earnest and disciplined prayer and godliness then you will not survive. That could be the reason why Jesus said to the disciples to recite The Lord’s Prayer …. “Deliver us from evil..”
War and rumors of war
That very day at 4:00 P.M., we were talking with a couple who have a Flying School. Our meeting turned a bit serious when I mentioned them about my dream. The pilot shared:
“I have an active friend from the Philippine Air Force (PAF). He said to me to acquire as many planes as I can. And should I hear him say me “Go!” then I should bring my family out from country immediately. And that is only possible when you have planes and you know how to fly.”
Would that be a confirmation? What is the connection of a Civil War and Bangasamoro Organic Law (BOL) or Revolutionary Government or the West Philippine Sea territorial conflict with China?
Then I shared them my vision on August 10, 2017:
Just got on board on my way to Manila from Pangasinan when in an “open vision” I saw “bearded-wearing, Middle Eastern looking men having long hair aimed a rocket missile to a four-storey college building. When the missile was fired, a strong explosion created a mushroom-like fireball that blasted in the middle of the city. I saw buildings were falling apart in the midst of fire. I saw thousands of dead from the wreckage. Many of them died on the spot whose dilapidated bodies were hanging from the wreckage of the buildings. Dead bodies scattered on the streets. They’ re Filipinos.”
Few months later, I was awakened from a dream and I vividly recall the following images:
“I saw people fleeing from their nipa-hut houses headed to the dusty roads somewhere here in Pangasinan. There were all running for their lives to different directions and I just wondered why. Then followed by a series of gunshots until I saw military uniformed men coming from all sides mercilessly firing the fleeing crowds. Women and children, young and old fell lifeless on the ground with their smeared-blooded shirts and clothes.”’ People fleeing shouted “Civil war, civil war…”
According to Jesus Christ there are signs of the coming age. He said,
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet, ” – Matthew 24:6
Betrayal?
The next day, May 29, 2019 at around 6 PM, we meet some six old pals of over ten years who put up a small business somewhere in Quezon City that has been existing for the past 6 years. They said the small corporation was build not for profit but for their camaraderie spirit of brotherhood. But after their talk that day, their spirit of goodwill is being threatened because of disagreement on how the stock shares will be equally distributed among them.
Jesus said in Matthew 24:10,12b, “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another… the love of many shall wax cold.”” .”
That is why Paul warned that “love of money is the root of all evil,” (1 Timothy 6:10). And Jesus Christ also said “You cannot serve God and mammon,” equally or at the same time. While currency exchange changes so suddenly, money can change a person’s character so easily.
Love turning cold
Matthew 24:12, “”And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.””
That day of May 29, they were seven friends who treated each like a brother. But that brotherly love is now turning cold because of distrust. The culprit is “love of money.” They invested in a small venture and now they are apprehensive how it is to be divided and the other one a larger share of the pie.
Increasing wickedness
Before bed time that day I started writing this, it reminds me of Matthew 23 that speaks the “Signs of the Age.” And it foretold us the “increasing wickedness” that will prevail in our times. Just like what the online news yesterday news on the newly approved “Bastos Law,” which was authored by Senator Hontiveros. Is it camouflaged, SOGIE Bill?
(picture2)
That online news reads: “A look at acts punishable by 'Bawal Bastos' law” was reported by Kristine Joy Patag (Philstar.com) dated May 31, 2019 .
The new law seeks to protect Filipinos from any unwanted sexual actions or remarks against them in public and online spaces writes Philstar.com/Jonathan Asuncion
Catcalling is being defined as “unwanted remarks directed towards a person commonly done in the form of wolf-whistling and misogynistic, transphobic, homophobic, and sexist slurs”
wolf-whistling.”
While I agree with the law that women or any of any gender must be given an equal protection of the law yet I strongly agree on some of its “shady, vague “ provision as well that freedom of expression and religion will be curtailed. The Truth of the Scriptures will never be spared as well. When someone upload information on the social media, FB or others concerning “immorality” as what the Bible tells us, will that make us prone be “prosecuted and criminalized?” Is it man’s law is now restricting God’s Law by the virtue of legislation? Will this “increasing wickedness” will be elevated as “legal and moral?”
Blind guide
Last May 12, 2019, a day prior to election I preached that day entitled, “Politics and Church Pornograpy”.
Inspired from Hebrew 12:16, saying, “Esau, a fornicator” because he sold his birthright over a bowl of soup. Fornication in Greek means “pornos” or “male prostitute.”
A pastor recently confided to me with another pastor as witness that a certain camp of a politician went to their town and stayed there for the next three days. These two people were seen holding two bayong-ful of cash totaling P8-Million for vote-buying. And this confiding pastor said, “Even pastors and their church -members are queuing to give their share.”
Are we as Church or leaders become a “blind guide” or “false prophets: which was the accusation made by Christ to the Pharisees when He said, “Ye blind guides,” and “many false prophets shall arise,” (Matthew 23:24; 24:11).
War, betrayal, et all
The words I mentioned like “wars, betrayal, love turning cold, increasing wickedness, blind guides” and others are signs of the end of the world which is followed later on by the Breaking of the Lord’s Bread. It means Testament is necessary who is with Christ and who is against Christ.
The “birth-pains” or “sorrows” in Matthew 24:7/ KJV is followed by a covenant. Covenant is an assurance of protection between two contracting parties. That’s the reason why we are taking the Lord’s Cup. And that assurance of protection is unfortunately the cause of Christ’s death when He said,
“O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done,”
– Matthew 26:42
And that covenant is a “cup of suffering.”
And how many of us will share the cup of suffering for the sake of will of the Father in heaven?
The Lord’s Cup
How many of us desire to be a willing vessel of sacrifice for the sake of the will of the father?
Take note of Paul’s ardent desire to please Christ. He said that he wanted to know Him more even in His suffering. Then he said,” That I may know Him and..The fellowship of His suffering,”(Phil. 3:10).
The father’s will
We were at Manila Penn on the night of May 31, 2019 right after leaving a certain Ambassador’s flashing residence in rich-posh Forbes Park in Makati. The meeting has something to do with Nano Technology to be marketed and shipped and distributed exclusively with a certain local-based company.
From there, we headed to Manila Peninsula in Makati to recap what we had earlier discussed with some other scientists and businessmen who already headed home. They were three of us Filipinos and this 46-year old man from the Middle East. Let’s call him as “A.M.”
The Nano Technology is a joint venture of Filipino and foreign sole investor. A.M. told me that it is a business between the two of us (as partners) but his profit goes to his older brother of one-year whom he described squandered millions of their wealth in US dollars. I am just wondering why would he gives his profit to his irresponsible brother who should have acted as the “firstborn” who should have taken the sole responsibility as “head” of the house. And he reasoned out that it the oath or promised he made to his father way back in 2013. And it is already 2019 now.
I asked A.M., the following questions.
Peps: Why are you doing this?
A.M. : For my brother as I promised to my father
Peps: Why would you honor your word to a dead man of six years ago?
“AM” never said a word. His eyes sparked luminously until his tears run on his cheeks. Why this fully-bearded man towering 6’ man cried?
The answer is simple, he honors his father though he’s dead six years ago. That is how we should honor our father in the same way we received such a mandate in Ephesians 6:1-3
To us, how more we honor our Father in heaven who is not a living-dead but an immortal one?
Now imagine as the Lord Jesus commanded us to Break Bread with Him in the Lord’s Supper? What does it mean to you? Do you take it with the thought in your mind saying, “Thy will be done?”
(picture3)
For A.M., he never broke his father’s heart apart. But how about us? How often we broke our father’s heart apart?
NOTES:
This story should have been published before “Father’s Day” to inspire people to do God’s Will rather their own will and personal plan. Unfortunately, I haven’t beat the deadline due for time reason.
