“CIVIL WAR”
It is the duty of every citizen to fight for his state. In the same way,
it is the duty of every Christian to fight for the Kingdom of God
My daily devotion
Last Friday, September 13, 2019, my daily devotion reads this way, “A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse,” Mark 3:24/ NLT.
The call
The next day, September 14, 2010 (Saturday) while I was on board at MRT along Guadalupe,
someone from IFP Board called me up and said:
“Divorce Bill will be deliberated at the Senate on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. and I am inviting you there to sit down with the Senators. I will be inviting some young lawyers, psychologist, sociologist among others to join the deliberation. “
I told him I am not a lawyer but he said “But you’re making a track record now inside the Senate.”
Track Record
What is a track record?
Track record is a record of past performance often taken as an indicator of likely future performance – Webster.
History defines you. It defines your future. Whatever done in the past, may be good or evil prepares you for a greater task ahead.
(picture2)
Warrant of arrest
It all started from warrant of arrest sometime on August 2013, to the SOGIE Bill in the House of Representatives in August 2014 at Batasang Pambanda and BBL Forum by Presidential Peace Process Presidential Appointed by then Pres. Aquino in November, 2014 at University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City, to “Civil Partnership” or “same-sex marriage” in the Congress on February, 2018 and “SOGIE Bill” at the Senate this September 3, 2019.
It is these histories that define the future that provides you the track record.
Civil war defined
“Civil war” is interpreted as “be divided” in KJV.
“Be divided” in Greek “merizo” (mer-id-zo) means “to apportion share, to disunite, distribute, divide, be difference between.”
Civil is 14th century Latin word “civilis” which means “citizens” or relating to the “state” or “citizenry.”
Civil in Greek
Civil or citizen in Greek “polites” (pol-ee-tace) means “inhabitant of the city, or country; the association of another in citizenship or fellow countryman.” It derived from the Greek root word “polis” referring to “city” or “one’s native city” and it also refers to “heavenly Jerusalem” according to Thayer. Strong Bible dictionary defined “polis” as “town” like Rosales in Pangasinan or Carlos in Ilo-Ilo Province (Luke 15:15: 19:14; Acts 21:30).
War
The word “war” is first mentioned in Exodus 1:10. In Hebrew word “milchamah” (mik-khaw-maw), war means a battle or war (Thayer). Strong defined it as “an engagement, warfare or fighting.”
David, the son of Jesse is being called as a “man of war”1 Samuel 17:33). Our Lord God is a man of war. Psalm 24:6, “The Lord is strong and mighty the Lord mighty in battle.”
A virus
So if you define civil war then it must be a war from within or a war among its citizens.
Civil War is not a war whose attackers are from the outside or foreigners but it is an attack from the inside. It is like a virus that attacks its host or body just like an AIDS or Ebola Virus.
The war inside
There is a war inside our souls.
The civil war in the Philippines has been a long time ago begun.
Senator Leticia Shahani, a former minority leader of the Senate once said, “The enemy is much inside of us..” Then that must a civil war amongst us as Filipinos.
In her Senate Resolution 10, adopted September 18, 1987 and signed by Jovito R. Salonga, then the Senate President; Sept. 18, 1987, Sen. Shanani in her papers writes:
“Ours is a sick nation gravely afflicted with interlocking disease of poverty, passivity, graft and corruption, exploitative patronage, factionalism, political; instability, love for intrigue, lack of discipline, lack of patriotism, and the desire for instant gratification. A cancerous growth is affecting the vital organs of our society to the extent that we seem to be in a state of paralysis’; the patient is not responding to the problem confronting it.
The times call for an analysis of our social cancer. We are both the doctor and the patient. As Jesus Christ said, in quoting a proverb; ‘Physician, heal thyself.’
The sickness afflicting this country, Mr. President, is moral in nature. It is my view that at the bottom of our economic problem and political instability is the weakness and corruption of the moral foundations of our society. We do need an economic recovery program; we also urgently need moral, intellectual and spiritual recovery program.
The times demand ... self-examination. Socrates said, ‘The unexamined life is not worth living.’
Resolved by the Senate; To direct the Committee on Social Justice, Welfare and Development to immediately conduct a joint inquiry into the weaknesses of the character of the Filipino with a view to finding solutions to the ills plaguing our society and strengthening the moral fibre of the nation...
War has begun
Many Christians thought that war should begin by the time the Temple of Solomon will be once again excavated and rebuild the ancient temple. But I say this that the war has been long started. We might ask that “Since when?”
The war begun since John the Baptist was beheaded by a public official named Herod. Jesus confirmed that war has already begun. If not what is then the purpose of the “whole armor” of God that Paul is talking about in Ephesians 6:11?
Mark 11:12 says, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. “
If war had already begun, where are God’s men? Are they still on the limelight of the pulpit or are they in the center of the battleground?
Where are the men of God (and I am not referring to the children of God and children are simply immature and self-centered ).
Men of War
Where are the men of war should we as Christians should defend the Kingdom of God?
Violence from Greek “biazo: (bee-ad-zo) means “to use force” or “to inflect violence on.”
A soldier who scared to be hurt is merely a toy soldier. A true soldier never frets to any injury nor even afraid to die for his cause of Christ.
Biazo is derived from the Greek root word “bia” meaning “ a strength, whether body or mind; strength in violent action; force.”
Not scared
Who is not afraid?
Paul said he too feared and trembled. 1 Corinthians 2:3 says, “And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. “
Fear isn’t special to anyone. We all have fears in various kinds. But fear must be overcome.
2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. “
But this is the kind of “violence” that the Lord Jesus Christ that we need to display even in the time of fear – the sound mind. If you have a sound mind, the body follows, even your trembling parts of your body will subside. We must be always in total control of our mind. The outside world that Satan totally controls scares us from left to right. Our sound mind with God and His Words must all prevails over the world.
Civil War now
The civil war is now inside the Senate, it is inside among us as Filipinos, it is inside this nation.
And the Church of Jesus Christ must be the frontrunner of this war. It is not a war among the few nor from the strong and the timid.
This civil war is a prelude to the one-government system of the coming anti-Christ. It is in fact, a celestial war that is mentioned in Ephesians 612, “ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. “
Take note of the underlined words:
-
principalities
-
powers
-
ruler of darkness
-
world
-
spiritual wickedness
-
high places
Sadly, this civil war is inside the Senate
-
lawmakers vs. the people
-
lawmakers vs. the Church and Christians
-
lawmakers vs. God
The following Bills are bills that will change the universal law of God mentioned in the Torah and the whole Scriptures
-
Senate Bill No 67, “Recognizing the Foreign Decree of Termination of Marriage”
-
Senate Bill No. 288 and 356 “Instituting Absolute Divorce and Dissolution of Marriage in the Philippines”
-
Senate Bill No. 504, “Recognizing the Civil Effects of Church Annulment Decree.”
Analysis:
Just the title of several Senate Bills that I mentioned earlier gives a chilling effects on my spines and hurls fear in my sinews. It I like a prelude to the reign of Anti-Christ in the Book of Revelation to establish One-Government System and One-Religion System.
-
Senate Bill No 67, “Recognizing the Foreign Decree of Termination of Marriage”
Why would a “foreign decree” will be adopted by the Senate as a bill in blatant attack to our sovereignty as a nation. The Preamble of the 1986 Philippine Constitution states that :
“We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid of Almighty God, in order to build a just and humane society, and establish a Government that shall embody our ideals and aspirations..”
Shall we allow foreign decree to reign and control our state, state policies and people?
The bill violates our republican statehood. Article III, Section of Philippine Constitution under DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES AND STATE POLICIES states that:
Section 1. The Philippines is a democratic and republican State. Sovereignty resides in the people and all government authority emanates from them.
If we allow foreign decree to bypass our law we cease to become republican state. Our constitution states that we are “under the rule of law and not under the rule of men.” Rule of Law is enshrined in the 1986 Philippines Constitution and not from the hands of the lawmakers (i.e. rule of men).
The present government merely “emanates” from the people. The word “emanates” means “to come out” or “given out.”” (Webster); s given out authority resides from the people and not from legislative bills alone.
Besides marriage is a matter of the Church and not by the State. Marriage, a 14th century Anglo-French word speaks of conjugality, wedlock or matrimony.
Marriage is Biblical and therefore it is a religious word because it was taken first from the Scripture in Genesis 34:9 which means in Hebrew word “chathan” (khaw-than) meaning “to become a son-in-law, makes oneself a daughter’s husband, to give away in marriage, to contract affinity by marriage, join in affinity and make marriages” according to Strong Bible Dictionary.
Another Hebrew word for marriage is “onah” meaning “cohabitation, conjugal rights; (sexual) cohabitation; duty of marriage” according to Strong.
In the time of Jesus Christ, “marriage” is mentioned in John 2:2. In Greek word, “gamos” it means “a wedding; marriage festival, a wedding banquet or matrimony” (Thayer definition). It is also called “nuptial” or “affinity” by Strong.
Concerning the original authorship of the word,” marriage” is not from the modern states today nor from the Anglo-French word in the 14th century but from a Jewish man named Moses, the legislator of today’s modern laws based from Torah.
Moses, a linguist, a legislator, man of God and a prophet first mentioned the word “marriage” that we are using to this very day. Moses authored that word back from the 6th and 5th centuries BC. according to Van Seters (1998), p. 5 and Davies (1998), p. 37.
To narrow down or pollute the word “marriage” in the name of man-made decree by “foreign decree” is tantamount of “historical revisionism,” no less from the floor of Senate.
In historiography, the term historical revisionism identifies the re-interpretation of the historical record. It usually means challenging the orthodox (established, accepted or traditional) views held by professional scholars about a historical event, introducing contrary evidence, or reinterpreting the motivations and decisions of the people involved according to Richard J. Evans (2001) Lying About Hitler: History, Holocaust, and the David Irving Trial.
Like China, encroaching the West Philippine Sea, the bill is also encroaching the boundary lines of God. God forbids that He might affront the nation with such derogatory act against God that Preamble of the Philippine Constitution called, “Almighty God.”
Marriage therefore is not being legislated by the State but by the Church (if the honorable Senate believes in etymology as a science).
As one congressman puts it this way, no less than the representative of the District 6 of Pangasinan, Hon. Atty. Tyrone Agabas, “Is it the Bible have been amended? No amendment to this very day, right?”
Will the honorable members of the Senate will now indirectly amend the Bible through revisionism in effect of this Bill?
Marriage therefore is not being legislated by the State but by the Church (if the honorable Senate believes in etymology as a science).
According to Online Etymology Dictionary, Etymology is the study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have changed throughout history.

Senate Bill No. 288 and 356 “Instituting Absolute Divorce and Dissolution of Marriage in the Philippines”
The above bill is a direct assault to Filipino Marriage as a “permanent union,” – Executive Order No, 209, “The Family Code of the Philippines,” July 6, 1987 and in Article XV, Section 2 of 1986 Philippine Constitution. The bill is also blatant attack to the Filipino Family as the foundation of the nation and to the whole citizenry of the Philippines (Article XV, Section 1).
Article 1. Marriage is a special contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life. It is the foundation of the family and an inviolable social institution whose nature, consequences, and incidents are governed by law and not subject to stipulation, except that marriage settlements may fix the property relations during the marriage within the limits provided by this Code. (52a).
From the very words of our Lord Jesus Christ, He said, “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Mark 10:9).
This bill directly attacks the divine description of marriage using scientific (chemical) term.
Dissolution is synonymous to chemical reaction thus the word “Dissolution (chemistry)” is redirected to solvation. Solvation describes the interaction of solvent according to M. Adreev; J. de Pable; A. Chremos; J. F. Douglas (2018), "Influence of Ion Solvation on the Properties of Electrolyte Solutions".
Contrary to this, New Living Translation (NLT) says, “let no one split apart what God has joined together.” (Mark 10:9/NLT);
The very foundation of marriage is not solvable unlike what this bill distorts marriage.
Genesis 2:23-25/NKJV, “And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called [a]Woman,Because she was taken out of [b]Man.” The divine composition of marriage is being distorted by humanism which they call “bill.”
-
Senate Bill No. 504, “Recognizing the Civil Effects of Church Annulment Decree.”
The word “recognize” means “to acknowledge formally; to admit as being lord or sovereign; to admit as being of a particular status to accept and approve (of something) as having legal or official authority” From Latin word “recognoscere” in 1532.
The state must recognize the authority and sovereignty of the Church. Though the State and Church are two different entities, they are complimenting by nature.
Inviolable is defined as “too important to be ignored or treated with disrespect.” Inviolable also means “secure from assault or trespass,” (Thesaurus). Synonymous includes, “hallowed, holy, sacred, untouchable.”
When a bill in the form of this Senate Bill does not recognizes the Church, then this bill might be “demonizing” this nation in utter disregard of the divine rights and constitutional rights of the Church as enshrined in 1986 Constitution that says:
Article II, Section 6 says, “The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable.”
I am sorry for the word “demonizing” but this is even more subtle than the very words that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said :
“And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it,” (Matthew 16:17-18).
Besides the word “church” as terminology is a religious term and must be interpreted by the clergy and not by the layman.
The author may not be a legislator. But the Gospel of Matthew is authored by a tax collector like our BIR today but also a public servant. Will a BIR know the law more than the lawgiver themselves?
Matthew said “hell shall not prevail against the Church.” If a bill like this is being authored by the member of the Senate, can we call this bill “hellish bill?” What is hell by the way?
Hell means Hades or Pluto, the god of the lower regions. Orcus, the nether word, he realm of the dead. It also means grave, death, hell (Thayer). Hell is a place or state of departed souls.
Is it the Bill is a Bill for the dead and not for the living?
From the very lips of Jesus Christ, he described hell this way:
“42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. 43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched, “ Mark 9:42-44
In other words, both Constitutionally and Biblically (where etymology of the words came from), any bill that assault the words “marriage, matrimony or family” must not be watered down other than from the original authors of the word and it can never be legislated by men. Anyone who legislate and approve this bill, offends both the unborn and unborn children who are being directly or indirectly offended as Christ said
(picture3)
SOGIE Committee Hearing, Senate, September 4, 2019 (Photo by Peps)
As Christ said Matthew 16:18 “and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, (i.e. the Church”), any offense could lead anyone to hell, me, you or the members of the Senate.
In effect also, should the bills will be approved by the Senate, then this legislative body is diluting the moral substance e and standard of our Constitution and corrupting the moral fiber of the Filipino Family (Article XV) . Lawmaking without the substance of good moral foundation violates RA 6713.
Should those bills will be approved, are they “self-inflicting law” a form of child abuse and abuse against women aided by legislation by the Senate?
From there you see, the civil war inside of us – the senate or congress as lawmakers, the Church and the Filipinos as a nation. We are not in single mind but we are divided in many ways in effect.
NOTES:
Why a woman?
I haven’t personally read yet the above-mentioned bills. I merely given my “reaction” on the basis of the titles of Senate Bills Nos. 67: Senate Bill No. 288; and Senate Bill NO. 504, should we soon be criminalize against our reaction? Because SOGIE Bill is a “law that is based on feelings and emotions.””
Why it is being authored by one single woman? All those above-mentioned bills are authored by Senator Pia Cayetano?
What is a woman? And what a woman can do? Is it worth revising the story of Eve in Genesis chapter 3 and the woman wearing scarlet robe in the Book of Revelation?
Is the spirit of Jezebel can be manifested in the form of legislation and who will be the legislator ????
How is this related to the recent teaching, “Deworming the church?
